H5P is an abbreviation for HTML5 Package and aims to make it easy for everyone to create, share and reuse interactive HTML5 content. It is a free and open-source content collaboration framework based on JavaScript. Which helps to produce and run interactive content and interactive video within your LMS, or other kinds of eLearning browsers.

H5P is the kind of tool that’s functioning best when you don’t notice it. It acts in the background as a quiet hero making learning content richer, more seamless, and more mobile-friendly.

 It's mobile-friendly and relatively simple to use, responsive, and accessible.

Interactive videos, interactive presentations, quizzes, interactive timelines, and more have been developed and shared using H5P on H5P.org. H5P is being used by 17 000+ websites.

However, many people don't want to learn how to write content using HTML5 (or have the time to learn!). So, H5P offers a more user-friendly solution, especially for non-programmers. From the perspective of an eLearning content creator, it allows the creation of widgets such as quizzes and interactive videos without the need for in-depth technical knowledge. Just about anyone can quickly learn how to create engaging and interactive content with H5P.

 

There are many great advantages offered by H5P for content creators. These are four of the top benefits:

  • More engaging content: The main reason that H5P is popular for eLearning content is the ability to create engaging page elements. It can be used for quiz questions, graphics with hot spots, moving content, and more. H5P can be used to turn a relatively flat lesson into an engaging and interactive experience.
  • Fully browser-based: H5P content can be created and managed without any additional software. You don’t need to download any plugins or update anything. You can import or export H5P content and view or edit it in a web browser.

The great thing about having interactive content in your eLearning toolkit is that it opens up new possibilities for learners and instructors. For learners working through courses at their own pace, interactive video helps to replicate live learning experiences.

The H5P Core team has been working with universities to improve the accessibility features of their tool. As a foundational aspect of H5P, all content has permission options that allow downloads, shares, and embeds. Accessibility perks include:

  • For the more tech-minded, you can now add your own in-line code to H5P content (great for those using H5P to teach programming).
  • H5P has functionality in over fifteen languages.
  • Content is shareable on all compatible browsers (which includes all of the major web browsers).

  Every teacher, every pedagog, every linguist, and more of them has at least one opinion about learning,activities, a learning environment,  etc.   Today's people live in an environment that is surrounded by technology. Thus today's world mostly presents us 'learning' in digital platforms. One of these platforms is Seesaw. What is Seesaw? Seesaw is  a digital platform  for student engagement   where teachers of all grade levels and content areas can create learning tasks and assignments for students .  Also, it  inspires students of all ages to do their best, and saves teachers time. Students use creative tools to take pictures, draw, record videos and more to capture learning in a portfolio. So  The assignments can incorporate videos, photos, text, images, files, or drawings. Teachers can empower students to create, reflect, share, and collaborate. Students “show what they know” using photos, videos, drawings, text, PDFs, and links. It's simple to get student work

IMVU

  As a parallel virtual reality universe, IMVU stands for “In My Virtual Universe.” It's not a game, but rather a collection of “chat rooms” that you visit with 3-D avatars you create. It's kind of like Roblox, in that you can design virtual environments to interact with others in. IMVU enables practical interface. Firstly you should sign up. Then there are steps for creating your avatar, your rooms. In the app there are sections as feed, chats, home page, and shopping page.  With your avatar you can visite rooms and chat with others. you can make friends, take pictures and share them in the feed page. You can buy clothes, jewelry, shoes and more. App provides a virtual environment that you can do whatever you want. Of course within the framework of mutual respect. I use IMVU. I have an avatar.
