CANVA / QUIZLET

 



Canva is an invaluable tool for helping you level up your design skills, even if you're just getting started It has an easily understandable interface. Canva provides to you templates that is useful for your design or just give you an idea. Also there are components that include shapes, frames, photos, gifs, and videos. Designs can be prepared for social media as a post, story, reels. . For example I am content producer in my school clubs such as ESN Cerrahpasa and Language Club. I use Canva for the content. I design posts, and stories for special days, for club activity announcements and also I found my own club. I design my logo with the help of Canva.; also they can be prepared for images itself, videos, and gifs to posters, websites, booklets, multimedia presentations, and heaps more, Canva makes designing beautiful creative assets easy for everyone. 

For the educational importance of Canva, It enables to learn design both students and teachers like designing lesson materials, videos, and activities. For instance, I used Canva for my midterm assignment. I prepared flashcards for my lesson activity. They last about 20 minutes. 



another advantage is Canva is a free app. It has also paid version for access of more components, templates, and fonts. But it meets every need for normal designs. The significant thing s not the components, its the creativity of the user.




Quizlet is a web tool and a mobile app that boosts students learning through several study tools that  Quizlet takes information and converts it into flashcards, quizzes, and games. so that users can study the same information in a variety of forms. It allows users to create study tools such as interactive flashcards, tests, and study games. With Quizlet, students can choose their own “Study Mode.” This allows activity content to be migrated from flashcards to matching games to other types of study games easily and responsively.

Quizlet is a great study tool for individuals to use virtually! Using the "Create set" feature, users are able to make flashcards set for each course. Users are also able to organize their sets into folders which make finding things extremely easy.

Quizlet offers lots of advantages for its users;

  • creating multiple, custom question sets
  • Question sets will help students prepare for tests and exams
  • Enjoyable learning process for students with the game formats
  • Great for online and hybrid courses to make the material more engaging
  • For face-to-face classes, the live version allows students to collaborate and compete

  Every teacher, every pedagog, every linguist, and more of them has at least one opinion about learning,activities, a learning environment,  etc.   Today's people live in an environment that is surrounded by technology. Thus today's world mostly presents us 'learning' in digital platforms. One of these platforms is Seesaw. What is Seesaw? Seesaw is  a digital platform  for student engagement   where teachers of all grade levels and content areas can create learning tasks and assignments for students .  Also, it  inspires students of all ages to do their best, and saves teachers time. Students use creative tools to take pictures, draw, record videos and more to capture learning in a portfolio. So  The assignments can incorporate videos, photos, text, images, files, or drawings. Teachers can empower students to create, reflect, share, and collaborate. Students “show what they know” using photos, videos, drawings, text, PDFs, and links. It's simple to get student work

  As a parallel virtual reality universe, IMVU stands for “In My Virtual Universe.” It's not a game, but rather a collection of “chat rooms” that you visit with 3-D avatars you create. It's kind of like Roblox, in that you can design virtual environments to interact with others in. IMVU enables practical interface. Firstly you should sign up. Then there are steps for creating your avatar, your rooms. In the app there are sections as feed, chats, home page, and shopping page.  With your avatar you can visite rooms and chat with others. you can make friends, take pictures and share them in the feed page. You can buy clothes, jewelry, shoes and more. App provides a virtual environment that you can do whatever you want. Of course within the framework of mutual respect. I use IMVU. I have an avatar.
